What professional requirements are needed to join?ASHE members include engineers and technicians who work in the highway and bridge construction industry. Most ASHE members work for consultants, contractors, government and vendors. Back to Top

What is the meeting format?Meetings are held at the Engineering Society of Baltimore, located near SHA headquarters and Washington Monument. All meeting notices are sent by e-mail. Technical Sessions begin at 3pm and end at 5 pm. Social Hour at 5 pm and Dinner at 6 pm. Guest Speaker (non-technical) at 7 pm. Back to Top
Is there a charge for attending the technical session only?If you only want to attend the technical sessions, there is a $20 fee for non-members and a $10 fee for ASHE members. (Of course we’d like you to stay for dinner.) Back to Top
What are the advantages to participating in technical sessions?Many employers pay for participation at meetings, based on the technical development benefit of Tech Sessions. Depending on the situation, sessions may count for Continuing Education Credit. ASHE provides a Certificate of Attendance upon request. Back to Top
Are the meetings eligible for Professional Development Hours credit?Yes! ASHE Chesapeake technical sessions are eligible for PDH credits. There will be a sign-in sheet located at the registration table. To receive credits, please sign in at the start of the meeting. A certificate will be emailed to you once the attendance roster has been processed. How do I join?Fill out the membership application & mail it along with your check for $85.00 to the address below. It will be signed by an officer and forwarded to ASHE National. Membership benefits begin immediately. Once the membership application has been approved, we will contact you for delivery of your official membership certificate.
